Except I'm taking the time to write about I was inspired recently, by www.operationbeautiful.com. Their goal is to end "fat talk" among women, and I honestly think that it's great. So the other day, I went to the mall to buy some birthday gifts, but I brought along a pack of post-its and a pen. I attached it on the mirror of the bathroom when nobody was looking, and when the cleaning lady came in, she read it while washing her hands. She had a smile on, too! It warms my heart to know that something I did brightened up somebody's day. Spread the love everybody. Let's start a love movement that anybody can participate it. Whether you're a male or female, it doesn't matter. Take out that post it and that pen, and write encouraging phrases on them. You never know, it might actually make somebody's day! :)

Move on.

"The truth is . . . once you learn how to die, you learn how to live." -Morrie Schwartz

I was looking through some books in my basement, and saw some familiar and unfamiliar titles. By habit, I chose the most familiar looking one: Tuesdays with Morrie. I kept it in my room for about two weeks, and I decided to read it yesterday night. I was not at all disappointed. To summarize it, it's a true story about Mitch Albom (the author) who reunites with his college professor after 16 years. His college professor, Morrie Schwartz, has only a matter of months left to live due to ALS/Lou Gehrig's disease, and in those months, he teaches Mitch his final "course" on how to live. After reading it, I now know that I won't ever look at life the same way, ever.

"Money is not a substitute for tenderness. Neither money nor power will give you the feeling you're looking for, no matter how much you have them." Of course, our society drills in one message to our mind: We need money, and more is better. But how true can that be? I know so many elders who've tried filling missing holes in their life with more and more unneeded items. Of course, they're still dissatisfied. New houses, new cars, do we really need all these things? When we die, will these things really matter? We can't ignore death with these little substitutions. We have to make the best of our life, and that should include the bigger things: The kinds of things that come from the heart. I guess some people will never get the big picture, the things bought with money can never compare to the things that can't.

I need to change, sooner than later. If I'm going to change the world one day, why not take a head start? I want to rid myself of my old selfish habits, and be a better person. I don't want to take anything for granted anymore, whether it be the small things like food or shelter, or the people we love. I don't want any more regrets piling up in my life, no more words will be left unsaid. I know many of you doubt that I can do something this big, but you know what? When I say I will, I most definitely will.
